This was the second annual meetup in London. The first one took place in September of 2007. This year we kicked off the year with a meet to celebrate the new year and most importantly my birthday.
Too many memories were had to be captured by a mere few photos and videos but this will atleast give such a momentus occassion SOME justice. From the bottom of my heart and as sappy as it sounds, thanks to everyone
for showing up for part or all of the experience. Especially those that went through the trouble to fly in from all different parts of the world. It's things like these that make me happy to be a member of the Newgrounds family.
On with the photos!
So after a long ass flight I arrived at Heathrow at around 7am. I met up with NegativeOne (aka Aaron) about half an hour later and we went off to Paddington to meet-up with VonDark (aka Hakon). While we waited I snagged a few pics and shot a quick video.
After running into VonDark, we went off to Green Park to check into the flats. Heres a pick of Neg and VonDark at the reception area
Since the keys werent available we decided we'd walk around the corner to the cafe and have a full English breakfast. It was only proper, cmon. I SHOULD MENTION THAT NEGATIVEONE orders a full english breakfast except he tells the waitress all the things he doesnt want such as tomatoes, sausage etc. Obviously he has no idea what the word FULL english breakfast means... the waitress is absolutely puzzled.
After breakfast, we headed to the flats and got in some rest by catching some tv.... hilarity ensues
After a few hours of hanging at the flat it was time to head over to Clapham North to have dinner with a bunch of NG people waiting there. So we grabbed the tube and after some bumbling around were able to finally find the place.
The food itself was pretty good, the service was kind of shit. I started to notice that alot in all the places I've eaten in London. Oh well. It was fun, heres some pics.
That eventually wrapped up day 1, we went back to the flat, where we met up with Luka and AlmightyHans (aka Hans). We hung out at the flat pretty much the rest of the day.
VonDark must have been really tired or drunk (me and him had alot of Saki). He was out cold! BAaad things happen when you are the first to go down! Well not really in this case. Delta and others stacked things on his head, see below!
What a tiring day... everyone eventually went to bed.
