Day 5: Meet-up Day

The fifth and final day, *sighhhh*. Most people actually left early in the morning but a select few didnt have flights until late in the day and or the following morning so heres a few photos from that last day. Not a whole lot happend. Oh the Eagles failed to make the playoffs, if you want to call that important.

The sun makes its appearance on the final day of London meet.

At this point mostly everyone left with the exception of Andrea, myself, Tom Fulp, Tim, Bob, Rob, Mike, Swain, Nogfish, BBm, NegativeONE, TimFrommeyer, KaynSlamdyke, and EyelovePoozy. That may sound like alot of people but considering we had once a group of 70 the previous day, our numbers were alot lower. Anyway fast forward to the evening, we headed back to the Sports Cafe where the Bob's beloved Philadelphia Eagles were being broadcast. They were having a playoff game against the Arizona Cardinalls and its a fairly big deal if you are into any of those two teams. The winner went to the Super Bowl yadda, yadda. Anyway we watched that game and then headed over to a club called Sound.

Most people werent really interested in American football as you can tell

As previously mentioned, after watching the Eagles lose we went over to Sound. It was a Sunday night so it took awhile to get things going

That's a Wrap.

We eventually stayed out WAY too long at Sound, so much so that me, Nogfish and Poozy missed our flight. But it was fun nonetheless and probably the most memorable birthday/meetup I've had in a long time. A meetup of this size and calibre will be pretty hard to live up to in the future and even the photos only are able to capture a sliver of the whole ordeal but it gives a good perspective on Newgrounds and how it differs from other Flash portals and even other websites in general. That said, I shall see you back across the pond next year. Cheers!

Videos

Here is a cool documentary created by Luka about this whole event. If you were too bored to go through all 360 photos here is the meetup in a nutshell of 5 mins of video!
