Check this out, it's the soldier graphics from below running along and shooting. After working on sprites for a game with Komix, I had it in mind to create inbetween MC's, meaning movieclips that helped the transition between two main movie clips. So for example Run-2-static, static-2-shoot, static-2-run can all be seen here. It makes it all feel alot smoother, and look alot more realistic.

Hola. T'is the summer now, and have decided to start on a bunch of flash work. Right now, most are games, but im up for doing a movie at some point. Ive decided that I wanna get-on with as much as I can this summer, and even treat flash a little like a job..
One thing im looking forward to finishing is a soldier game, which i've been doing the sprites for pretty quickly. You can see them so far, here. The idea for the game is a little up in the air right now, but think along these lines - if you've played a typical army game on a console - not like that. I want it to be at the other end of the scales in terms of realism. And when I say game, it's not going to be the most fun, or entertaining to play. Well actually that's a lie, to compensate for the not-so-fun gameplay, there'll be a two player mode.
Another thing i'd like to tell you about is finally, myself and AuthorBlues will be completing something together, and it could be one of three things to come first. One is a mini-game, that should hopefully be done with as quick as possible. The character in the game will be the lil' black guy you can see on the 'games' page. Will keep you tuned on that one. And speaking of the lil' black guy('lil' denotes any racist sentiment) the game with Komix is still in the works, it's just on hold while Komix finishes some other stuff up.

Why hallo thaar. Ive been off in Derbyshire last weekend for the Download festival and it was hellluvva cool basically. Wont write much about it because I cant be arsed. But you should know, was fun and I will most probably go next year too, if not then some other festival that musically is a little more to my likeleling. I wasnt a fan of 'Silly roaring music'(a term carefully coined by someone) but it is definetly a cool site to see it live. If so JUST to see the crowd going absolutley nuts. MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE headligned the first night, and pretty much everybody there had been saying how much they hated them. Most people went to see Korn play on the second stage instead of bothering booing MCR, but some people turned up to bottle them. I met a guy who hit the guitarist from MCR with a knife (err of the plastic cutlery kind) quite an achievment still.
Checkout some more videos on Youtube there is some quality stuff to see. The circle pits are pretty crazy to watch. I can remember the guy from KillSwitch ('Howard', or Howie to his friends) saying 'I want a big circle pit on this side and I want a big circle pit on this side' then just suddenly people rush back and having to brace, seeing all these people running around infront of you

Found this last night. 'The Road to Guantánamo was a documentary/drama that was on telly about a year or so ago. It was quite interesting, and the director Michael Winterbottom released it on Google vids the day after it was aired. So whatever i'm a year late with this, but shh. Wondering around the blogosphere(located within the internets George Bush tells me) I found 'Why, that's delightful!' which is Graham Linehan's blog. There's interesting posts to be seen at Graham Linehan's blog, why, from the beautiful berries to the busy working ants. Have a peeky if you would. I've noticed there's this small area on the blogosphere consisting of people who make it onto panel shows, and are the brains behind sketches and what not. For example Adam Buxton. Have a look on the planet myspace and you'll see a similar habitational pattern arising. I will put together a links page soon for all of these sites that come about.
PICO DAY happened yesterday on Newgrounds, and it was pretty kewel. Some cool submissions from some cool people. You can see everything that was submitted, here. I think some of my favorites so far are Arvands 'Uberkids revenge', 'Pico unleashed 2.007' by Tim Frommeyer & 'Pico: The betrayal' by Masonogy, although i'm yet to see 'em all.
Myself and Psycosis made 'Darnells Burn 'em up', which is currently on the front page :). It was a fun game to make although a bit taxing. Whatever I do I can't help but leave it till the last minute, and that happened here. Although it wasn't a massive rush at the end to be honest, it was quite a cosy 'we're happy with it' finish.
BTW, sorry for not updating the site for a while, but I have a valid reason. Am messing about with converting it over to a wordpress blog, which will be a sort of test for the rest of Brainwash Studios if all goes to plan. Now that Pico day is over will get back on that and hopefully it should be done soon.
So now that Pico day IS over.. I shall be getting back to work on something that was steaming along pretty fast, before I had to stop for Pico day. This is the game between myself and Komix. It's a pretty good thing to be doing right now because the character who im making ALOT of sprites for is very undetailed and does not take long to animate. For the Darnell sprites I was putting more into the animations, but there was less of them. It's nice to be able to have say a walk cycle done within an hour or two rather than take a days worth of work. Will keep you up to date on how this game goes, we got alotta variety to the whole thing, so can post up some demo's as it gets along.
Ah yee, and my friend Leon has took up flash again, and is already pretty decent at it. We'll prob do something together.. what else is there to do in tavvy besides Flash, skate, and flash(the kids)? Oh yes, and Luis of course, i'm sure something will come up. :)
I had a quick scrounge around YouTube and this is the most fitting thing. I really wanted to find some little video with a really freaky bunny, but no luck.. enjoi.

I resigned up for Xbox live yesterday after my trial ran out about 2 months ago. Gears of war online is alotta fun, specially the chainsaw.. but you probably new that didn't you.
I also bought Geometry wars. Geometry wars is a very good game, that you can find on the Xbox (360) live arcade for a hefty £3.00-ish. It's funny to think that you are playing this little retro game on this brand new console, and even more funny that this little game is one of the most addictive and fun that is about for the console. Get it if you've got a 360, even more so if you make flash games.
If you do make flash games, it's one of those you'll sit and play and think 'Ah I wish they did that' and 'wow that's wicked, wish i could rip it off in some stealthy way..'. If you're intrested in what the hell this game is, go on Youtube and type in Geometry wars. There's this one of a guy getting 4 million odd.

This weekend I decided to crack down and do a whole new sprite sheet. I've near enough completed it. I think it's pretty cool how much I got through so quick.
The sprites themselves are pretty simple. The main character is a black silouette-like character made up of a ball, and legs.
Anyway, you can read more about this game when I get a section together for it over at the 'in the works' area on the games page. Soon I will probably be looking for an actionscripter for it too.

I've been messing about with the games page a bit today and updated it a little with a couple of games in the works. Check 'em out here. Also check out the pictures page as that's coming along bit by bit everytime I draw a new picture.
Yesterday I made this short animation in two hours in a flash battle against a few other people. You can see mine here. It's nothing special but was a laugh to do.
Hello everyone. The last website crashed from all the page views when the Maccabees made front page on Newgrounds. So, i've set up this new site over here at Brainwash studios which will be alot better.
This new site uses CSS & is also a part of the Brainwash server making it way easier to keep updated with FTP.
So anyway, keep checking back because as the late Diana Ross said, 'Things can only get better'-ish. While your here you may aswell check out the new game between myself and Evan (frosted muffins). This game was made for Hannukah, and has just won us over $1000 thanks to Armor Games. Also, over $4000 dollars was sent to a charity partly thanks to this game :)
