This news is a few days late but super exciting nonetheless. Newgrounds has awarded Newgrounds Rumble the coveted NG Tank Award. It’s an amazing honor because as you very well know, I am a hardcore NG visitor and to be embraced by the site you embrace is not only extremely flattering but also extremely special. So thank you newgrounds and anyone whos enjoyed the game.
Special thanks to Aaron Worrall and Jose Ortiz for allowing me in the project. If you have checked it out already when it was released then you should definately check it again, as we’ve put in two extra playable characters since then, Hank of the Madness Series and Fancy Pants Man of the wildly popular Fancy Pants Adventures. Both those artists were interviewed in the Artist-of-the-Month feature and both are dear friends.
Oh as a side now I was voted for User of the Year for 2007. I feel weird patting myself on the back about that so its a mere side note :)
Before I close out this e-mail I thought I’d mention that I’ll be making a pit stop in New York City this weekend, ill then make another appearance in San Diego next month, I’ll be back in NY in early August and will finish up the month making a stop in London, England, I’ll finally wrap up my 2008 travels in Reykjavik, Iceland. I’m hopeful to atleast squeeze one game/movie out over the summer. We’ll see….

Rather than release the AOTM feature really late I thought I’d just put it off till next months feature. I’ll just make that one extra good or somethin. I’ve been working on two Pico Day pieces and so I’m hopin that will sooth the pain of not getting your monthly fix of interviews.
Sorry Gang! I thought this clip was kinda refreshing… ill admit that its twisted humor but whatever its my website! I do what i want.

Whew, I’ve been really neglecting my site as of late. In fact I pulled the bulk of my links on other sites until I got it back up to a respectable level of freshness. I have finally dedicated enough time to overhaul some things and I am finally beginning to feel like there is a light at the end of the tunnel!
First on the list was redoing the animation view window, the previous version was all that was left over from the previous redesign in 2006. It was very inconvenient to make new pages, the css was needlessly complex and a plethora of other issues. I fixed all that up and now I no longer have to dread creating a new slot anytime I have a new animation. I went ahead and added all the animations I had done that I hadnt gotten around to including for quite awhile. Among those is Introduction to Ajax, a short little animation that I had yet to release publicly. Also in the batch of updates is Castle Crashing the Beard, a game I made with my good friend Nick, aka BoMToons. The game is proving to be the little engine that could, its been getting quite a bit of coverage. The most recent of plugs can be found on Fox News’ podcast. It’s amazing how much more power games have in terms of making the rounds in the web.
Anyway be sure to check out my interview with good friend and fellow animator Sean Montela. He is this months featured artist.
In regards to my current projects. I’ve been working on a slew of games, one of which will be out later this month. I’ve also got a collaborative project going on with my pal Connor Fleming.
